Cathodic Protection

Comprehensive corrosion protection is essential for the safe and efficient operation of pipeline systems, service facilities or industrial plants. Operators of pipelines and facilities with high risk potential are required to take particularly effective countermeasures, not only in order to avoid incurring costs or damaging their image, but also to live up to the responsibility that the business carries in regard to its environment.
The cost of installing a Cathodic Corrosion Protection system is only a fraction of the cost incurred from repairing the damage that results from corrosion. We have the optimum solution: economically, technologically and ecologically.
Our experienced principal covers every aspect of Cathodic Corrosion Protection as a result of many years experience and our innovative strength:
  • The classic Cathodic Protection (CP)
  • Local Cathodic Protection (LCO)
  • Internal Cathodic Protection for storage tanks
  • Cathodic Protection of Steel in Concrete
  • CP Remote Monitoring System (RMS)
Our experienced principal and engineers are always ready to provide you with the following services:
  • CP studies and project field survey
  • Inspection and analyses (AC current corrosion, stay current corrosion)
  • High voltage interference calculation and inspection
  • Intensive measurement (DCVG/CIPS tests – DCVG: Direct Current Voltage Gradient, CIPS: Close Interval Potential Surveys)
  • Fault and defect detection
  • Measuring and corrosion evaluation of Horizontal Drillings
  • Evaluation of corrosion risk
  • Design of Catholic Protection Systems
  • Inspection of coating after pipeline installation
  • Production and supply of CP materials and equipments
  • Supervision, installation and commissioning of Cp systems
  • Design and installation of CP Remote Monitoring System
  • Periodic inspection and maintenance
  • Consultation and personnel training
All necessary certification is available:
  • WHG §19 regular control certificate by northern branch of the German Technical Inspection Association (TUV) in accordance with §19 1 of the Water Ecology Act in areas of CP installation, Maintenance and Repair.
  • Certificate by DVGW as a specialized enterprise in accordance with DVGW work sheet GW 11, 6/75 edition in the fields of Design, Installation and Maintenance of Cathodic Corrosion Protection and Monitoring systems.
  • Quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 certificate.
  • SCC** (safety, health, environmental protection) certificate.
  • Personnel certification in accordance with DIN EN 15257:2006.

CP Remote Monitoring System
In order to ensure the effectiveness of a Cathodic Protection System, the CP installation must be constantly monitored and measurements taken repeatedly on the storage tank, pipeline or other metallic structure being protected.
Remote monitoring of the CP system allows the relevant parameters such a protective current, ,,On’’ and ,,Off’’ potential to be recorded periodically and evaluated promptly in order that the Cp system’s effectiveness as well as any serious failure to its operation can be detected immediately.
With the use of the Remote Monitoring System via its electronic hardware and user friendly software, costly and time consuming field measurements and manual inspections are reasonably decreased.
By using the RMS you will be able to keep an eye on your corrosion protection installation’s function and effectiveness whenever and from where you wish.
You can check, activate or configure your RMS system from the comfort of your office or elsewhere analyzing our data in a most comfortable and reliable way.
